Aussies meet President Clinton | |||
|
On a visit to Little Rock Arkansas the Jackson State University Golf team happened to be scheduled to compete in an inter-University competition when they were told they would have to wait a while before they could tee off. Secret Service men and women, sniffer dogs and the State Troopers descended on the golf course together with an ominous large black truck with satellite dishes and radio antenna sticking out of the roof. These were the body guards for the USA President Bill Clinton, visiting his home town for a game of golf with a couple of mates. After about twenty minutes of meeting and greeting the staff and his playing partners the President went over to meet the coaches of the various golf teams who had been told to wait. The boys from Jackson State Uni lead by Craig Hocknull moved forward under the watchful eye of the CIA men and women and were introduced to the President. Craig and his coach Eddie Payton called over the other team members and as you can see a memorable photo resulted.There are millions of Americans who would love to get this close to President Clinton and two lads from Australia managed to even get to check out his deodorant.
